Sanded cotton is cotton that has been mechanically brushed to raise the surface fibres, creating a finish that is immediately soft, warm, and tactile — not a coating, not a treatment, but a structural change to the surface of the fabric. The 60-thread twill weave base gives the fabric a diagonal structure that adds depth and durability, while the reactive printing and dyeing process locks the pattern deep into the fibre. Styling Notes

Making the bed — For a considered finish, pull the bed sheet taut before placing the quilt cover. The Nordic patterns read best on a smooth, flat surface — the reactive print and the sanded texture are most visible and most deliberate when the fabric lies flat and undisturbed. Fold the top of the quilt cover back 30–35cm over the duvet insert and position the two pillowcases at the head of the bed. The sanded cotton pillowcases should be smooth and plump — use a well-filled pillow insert to maintain the shape.

• Machine wash cold (30°C max) on a gentle cycle — do not use bleach or fabric softener
• Tumble dry low or hang to dry in shade — avoid direct sunlight to preserve the sanded finish and reactive print colour depth
• Iron on low to medium heat as needed — iron on the reverse side to protect the sanded surface finish
• Wash separately for the first wash to prevent colour transfer
• The sanded cotton construction softens further with each wash — the surface becomes more relaxed and considered over time
