Coton Peigné

A combed long-staple cotton plain jacquard four-piece bedding set — the construction that defines the difference between cotton bedding and premium cotton bedding. Combed cotton is cotton that has been processed to remove short fibres and impurities, leaving only the longest, most uniform fibres. Long-staple cotton takes this further — the fibres are longer than standard cotton, which means the yarn is finer, the weave is denser, and the surface is smoother. The plain jacquard weave creates a subtle geometric pattern structurally, within the fabric itself — visible in texture and sheen rather than colour contrast. The reactive printing and dyeing process bonds the colour directly to the cotton fibre — the result is a depth and richness of colour that surface printing cannot achieve. The 8 Colours

Camel — A warm, sandy camel tone — the most grounded and versatile colourway in the range. The plain jacquard pattern in Camel reads as warm and considered. Works in rooms with warm white or cream walls, natural wood furniture, and warm lighting.

Styling Notes

Making the bed — For a considered, hotel-style finish, pull the bed sheet taut before placing the quilt cover. The plain jacquard pattern reads best on a smooth, flat surface — the woven texture and the lace edging finish are most visible when the fabric lies flat and undisturbed. Fold the top of the quilt cover back 25–30cm over the duvet insert and position the pillowcases at the head of the bed.

The lace finish — The edging and lace finish is the detail that distinguishes this set from standard cotton bedding. It reads most clearly on the pillowcases and the quilt cover edge — in White and Light Beige, the lace is most visible; in the deeper tones (Camel, Grey, Morandiland), it reads as a subtle tonal detail. Keep surrounding textiles simple so the lace finish reads clearly.

Neutral tones (White, Light Beige, Grey, Camel) — The most versatile colourways in the range. Work in rooms with any palette and any lighting. The plain jacquard pattern in neutral tones is tonal — visible in texture and sheen rather than colour contrast, which gives it a quiet, considered luxury.

Colour tones (Morandiland, Ouya Blue, Ouya Yellow, Think Yellow) — Each colourway brings a distinct character to the room. The Morandi and Ouya tones are deliberately considered — they are not primary colours but refined, desaturated versions that work in rooms with a more editorial aesthetic.

• Tumble dry low or hang to dry in shade — avoid direct sunlight to preserve the reactive print colour depth
• Iron on medium heat on the reverse side — the plain jacquard surface can be ironed directly on low heat; iron the lace edging carefully on low heat
