Sommet Trek is a performance hiking boot engineered for wilderness, hard ground, natural grass, and mountainous terrain. The Lycra stretch water-repellent mesh upper keeps the boot lightweight and breathable while resisting moisture from wet ground and light rain. • Lycra stretch water-repellent mesh upper — The upper is the first line of defence against the terrain. Lycra stretch mesh gives the boot a close, adaptive fit that moves with the foot rather than against it, while the water-repellent treatment keeps moisture out on wet ground, dewy grass, and light rain. Lightweight enough to reduce fatigue on long ascents; structured enough to provide the lateral support that uneven ground demands.
• EVA one-shot foam midsole — EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) one-shot foam is the midsole technology used in serious performance footwear because it delivers consistent shock absorption across the full surface of the foot. On descents, rocky ground, and hard terrain, the midsole absorbs the impact that would otherwise travel up through the ankle and knee. One-shot foaming means the midsole is formed as a single unit — no seams, no weak points, consistent cushioning across the full footbed.
• Rubber outsole — The outsole is the contact point between the boot and the terrain. Rubber provides the grip on wet rock, loose soil, and hard ground that synthetic materials cannot match, and the abrasion resistance that keeps the outsole functional across hundreds of kilometres of use. Size Guide

Sommet Trek is sized in EU sizing. Measure your foot length from heel to longest toe and select the size that corresponds. For hiking boots, it is generally recommended to size up half a size to allow for thick hiking socks and natural foot swelling on long ascents. The Lycra stretch mesh upper accommodates a range of foot widths without pressure points.

Care Instructions

• Clean after each use with a soft brush or damp cloth — removing mud and debris after each outing preserves the outsole grip and the mesh upper’s water-repellent treatment
• Do not machine wash — the EVA midsole and rubber outsole adhesion can be affected by machine washing; hand clean only
• Air dry naturally away from direct heat — direct heat sources (radiators, campfires, direct sunlight) can degrade the EVA foam and affect the rubber outsole adhesion
• Re-apply a water-repellent spray treatment periodically — the Lycra mesh water-repellent treatment can be refreshed with a standard DWR (durable water repellent) spray after heavy use or washing
• Store in a cool, dry place with the side zipper open — allowing the interior to breathe between uses prevents moisture build-up and extends the life of the lining
